Textra SMS is a popular app for Android devices that offers an alternative to the integrated messaging app. Not only does Textra SMS include many technical features that the built-in app lacks but it gives a great many options with which to personalize its look and feel. You can customize themes, emojis, icon shapes, LED colors, vibration, automatic compression, muting, blacklisting and much more.

Although Textra SMS includes many themes and emoticons by default, you can also download more through Textra Emoji plugins. iOS Style is one such add-on, and it adds a large collection of emojis and other elements that you can use while texting as well as for the automatic features.

Like all Textra Emoji plugins, iOS Style is freeware, so you can download it and use it without limitations. Note that the parent app is ad-supported, but these ads are occasional and not at all intrusive. Additionally, a one-time in-app purchase lets you go ad-free and is nice option for regular users.

Textra SMS lets you apply themes to dictate the overall aesthetic of the app. These themes can be applied all at once, or you can dictate your very own theme one element at a time. As the name suggests, Textra Emoji iOS Style imitates the look and feel of Apple iPhone messaging, and you can use this theme as is or use various elements of it to personalize your unique theme.

Textra SMS comes with more than 2,700 emojis. These Textra Emoji plugins each have the same number of emojis because each emoticon requires an analogue in that style. Switching to a new emoji style is simple. You can set the emoji style app-wide. You can also assign a particular style along with other visual elements to individual contacts so that your important ones have a unique look and feel.

All applicable emojis within this pack also have a diversity option. Simply long-press an emoticon to have access to various skin color options. Skin color can be set app-wide if you prefer, and you can also choose skin color for particular emojis for particular contacts and have those changes be remembered.

Our only complaint concerning Textra Emoji iOS Style—and this applies to all Texta SMS emoji addons as well as the emoticons that are included in the app—is that you cannot use them system-wide. We would like an option to standardize our emojis across our keyboard and other apps where we use them.
